Dr. Wolff graduated from Marquette University in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in philosophy. He completed his master’s studies in anthropology at the University of Wisconsin in 1996. He proceeded to study clinical psychology and completed his psychology master’s degree in 2013 and then his Doctor of Psychology degree in 2023 through Illinois School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University, an American Psychological Association accredited program. While a doctoral student, Dr. Wolff also studied meditation at the Udumbara Training Institute in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Wolff specializes in adult assessment and psychotherapy and does so within the context of his broad training and experience in therapy, assessments, and education across many populations. Dr. Wolff worked as an elementary school educator in the Milwaukee Public Schools in Wisconsin (1989-1992), and as a counselor and educator for disadvantaged youth at St. Aemilian/Lakeside Residential Treatment Center in Wisconsin (1991-1999). He went on to be an extern for substance abuse assessments and therapeutic interventions at Northwestern Neuropsychological Associates, Holy Family Medical Center in Illinois (2011-2012). Dr. Wolff was then a therapy extern for a general population at the Family Stress Clinic in Illinois with a specific rotation at a local elementary school (2012 – 2013). Subsequently, Dr. Wolff was an extern for therapy and assessments at the Associates in Behavioral Science in Illinois for a disadvantaged population of all ages. Dr. Wolff also received training at the Landstrom Center in Illinois in psychological/neuropsychological assessments for a general population (2015-2017). Dr. Wolff’s specialized focus on adults emerged in his internship at Vanguard Elder Care in Indiana (2017-2018) and continued to develop at St. Agnes Hospital in Wisconsin (2018-2022). Over these years Dr. Wolff focused on adult assessment and psychotherapy. At Clinical Psychology Associates, Dr. Wolff specializes in adult psychological/neuropsychological assessments such as for stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and capacity evaluations, as well as for differential diagnosis, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), personality disorders, and adult autism. Assessments and diagnoses clarify an individual’s current functioning. As a psychotherapist, Dr. Wolff may then engage with that person to together understand and address the emotions and behaviors that have impeded the person’s progress and meaning in life, with the goal of assisting the individual to achieve his or her greatest potential.
