Anna Evans graduated with a Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University in 1999. She is a licensed professional counselor in both Wisconsin (LPC) and Illinois (LCPC). She is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in Illinois. Anna holds a Certificate in Grief Work from the University of Wisconsin at Madison Continuing Education Program. Her past professional training also includes work with Dr. Albert Ellis and the staff of the Albert Ellis Institute, with whom she earned a Primary Certificate in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.
In addition to her focus on substance use disorders and grief/life transitions, Anna works with clients struggling with trauma/PTSD, self-esteem/boundaries, and mood challenges such as depression, anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder. She has extensive experience with veterans’ issues. Coming from a family with three generations of first responders, Anna values working with men and women who put themselves in harm’s way for the sake of others. She has also been honored to support other mental health professionals in their quest to stay emotionally healthy and resilient. With a strong interest in and respect for diversity, Anna is also committed to serving the LGBTQ community.
